Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Human Resources, the HR Coordinator provides a wide variety of administrative support to the Human Resources department. The HR Coordinator works in collaboration with the Site Human Resources team and provides assistance to employee’s HR related inquiries to ensure all matters are addressed in a timely manner. Responsible for maintaining payroll, benefits and pension record requirements using standard policies & procedures.

Main Accountabilities:

- Responsible for following payroll cut off dates, communicating changes, and information in line with required timelines.
- Ensure payroll processing schedule and deadlines are met.
- Process and validate all payroll, benefits and pension information.
- Ensure payroll database reflects current and accurate information; verifies and inputs pay and data changes.
- Process and monitor all staffing changes including new hires, leaves, transfers, salary adjustments, timesheets, manual cheques, terminations, other changes in accordance with legislative requirements and company standards
- Assist with employees with questions on health-related benefits, pension and payroll.
- Process and verify all new hire, changes and terminations in the Time & Attendance system for accuracy.
- Maintain new hire and existing employee data in SAP, payroll system, and personnel files.
- Ensure vacation accruals and activity are properly tracked and accounted.
- Maintain records in the performance management system and assist with delivering workshops for performance reviews.
- Assist with all Total Rewards projects.
- Assist with audits of payroll, benefits, and other HR programs, and recommending corrective actions.
- Assist with documentation management and filing on a weekly basis.
- Other duties as assigned

Main Qualifications:

- High school diploma required
- College diploma preferred
- Minimum of 3 years administrative experience or relevant education with experience
- SAP experience preferred
- Proficiency in other administrative duties and Microsoft office suite required
- Solid understanding of applicable employment and benefits laws and legislation preferred
- Business Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources/Labour Relations or relative experience
- Experience working in a human resources/labour relations department
- Solid understanding of applicable employment and benefit laws and legislation
- Strong digital literacy, especially in the Microsoft Office Suite®
