Our impact reaches beyond our academic students to large summer and seasonal programs run on multiple campuses including our Oakville campus and the newly acquired Camp Kandalore business in Haliburton, Ontario. Through in-camp activities, enrichment, academic and outdoor education programs we aim to promote highly transformative experiences for youth.

**OUR TEAM**

**THE ROLE**
- Working with business unit managers and Appleby’s central HR team, manage the recruitment life cycle for hiring in ancillary businesses. This includes but is not limited to posting jobs, screening resumes, conducting initial interviews, scheduling interviews for hiring managers and coordinating all documentation around the job offer process.
- Support respective teams in onboarding, orientation, and training.
- Participate in summer start-up activities and provide HR leadership and presence across all assigned units.
- Assist as assigned in scheduling staff and coordinating coverages.
- Proactively seek out and develop partnerships to source staffing more proactively.
- Participate in recruitment job fairs.
- Create and implement proactive retention and loyalty-building strategies including off-season staff reunions.
- Coordinate with Appleby HR team when additional support is needed and act as a liaison with the department on various projects.
- Administrate benefits for units where assigned.
- Provide payroll back-up as required.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Previous work experience in an HR or recreational/camp/educational environment
- Proven working experience with HRIS
- Demonstrated attention to detail when working with systems.
- Strong excel and other MS Office skills.
- Experience with CampBrain, When2Work software considered an asset.
- Flexibility to travel to different job sites including Toronto and Haliburton.
- Some travel for recruitment may be required.
- Superior service-oriented skills and ability to respond with urgency.
- Strong communication skills, energetic and enthusiastic
- Must maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
