Support Staff Full-time New Position

This role is part of the Talent Hub, specifically the Co-operative Education and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) services department. Reporting to the Associate Director of Co-op, the Coordinator will have 3 key areas of focus:

- Designing innovative strategies and programming that will elevate and expand Conestoga’s Work-Integrated Learning (WIL)/Co-op programming capacity, aligning with the required Co-op/WIL program outcomes.
- Effectively managing stakeholder relationships and delivering quality projects on time and in scope.
- Maintaining records and reviewing information on quality Co-op/WIL, which may include online learning knowledge and best practices to support results-focused, evidence-based design, and decision-making.

**Responsibilities**:
**Quality Co-op and Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Experiences - Improvement Strategies**
- Consult, plan, present, execute, implement, and evaluate improvement strategies and initiatives to enhance WIL and Co-op experiences and continue to evolve the practice of Co-op/WIL in regard to curriculum, programming, delivery methods, and student and employer experiences
- Review and design content for the Learning Management System (LMS), including revisions to job search preparation material and the Co-operative Education Preparation Course (CEPR)
- Collect and examine Co-op/WIL data and implement collection of metrics for ongoing evaluation
- In conjunction with the Associate Director propose, develop, coordinate, and implement innovative approaches to Co-op/WIL within a quality improvement plan
- Support the Team in process changes and change management, such as the implementation of new Co-op/WIL activities (i.e. community service learning projects)
- Analyze host organization/employer partnerships and feedback evaluation to determine opportunities for expanded WIL participation and consider opportunities for new relationships
- Build communities of practice at Conestoga and engage Co-op and WIL stakeholders in reflective practices and continuous improvement agendas
- Examine current practices in the delivery of unpaid WIL in Conestoga programs and make recommendations for innovations and improvements to enhance the student learning experience, access to WIL, and increase capacity

**New Models of Co-op & Work Integrated Learning (WIL)**
- Continually monitor research in WIL, teaching and learning, and online learning to inform/refine evidence-based practices related to design and delivery
- Conduct global research on standards and processes for the development and delivery of quality WIL /Co-op programming in post-secondary education
- Gather insights and data on current practices to support in identifying new strategies that will benefit both employers and students
- In consultation with Talent Hub Management, determine a delivery model that corresponds best to the program’s needs
- Research, examine, and evaluate options for collaboration with other areas at Conestoga College such as the Entrepreneurship Collective
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement innovative models of WIL and Co-op with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility
- In conjunction with the Team, develop, launch, and participate in Co-op/WIL student-led networking and peer guidance models
- Establish processes/frameworks to guide the implementation of new models of WIL practice aligned with course and program outcomes

**Qualifications**:

- Three-year Diploma/Degree in Research, Career Development, Adult Education, Business, Project Management, or related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or training is considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative environment and building client relationships
- Experience in creating and managing budgets
- Understanding of Adult Learning Programs or Corporate Training Program Development
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and accurately in writing and verbally.
- Ability to problem solve in consultation with stakeholders with attention to program delivery requirements and student success
- Creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial approach to problem solving
- Strong data collection, management, analysis, and reporting skills
