The Mines Competitiveness and Authorizations Division is responsible for developing and regulating the thriving, globally competitive, safe, and environmentally responsible exploration and mining sector, significantly benefitting all British Columbians.

The British Columbia Geological Survey (BCGS) links government, the minerals industry, and communities to the province’s geology and mineral resources. The BCGS generates, disseminates, and archives British Columbia’s geoscience data to stimulate investment and provide knowledge to society’s decision makers for responsible land and resource management. The BCGS is a leader in public government geoscience, providing geological and geomorphological information to all through traditional reports, maps, and databases, which can be freely accessed online.

The Branch Coordinator provides support to the Executive Director along with 30 technical staff and approximately 12 seasonal students. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the Branch administrative support section, including supervision of administrative support staff, contract management, and procurement of goods and services. Additional responsibilities for the branch include human resource management, and financial administration purchasing, budget and financial expenditure management] for the program areas. The Branch Coordinator will establish and maintain effective liaison with division executive, branch management, colleagues, stakeholders and partner agencies across the province.

**Job Requirements**:
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- A diploma, certificate or post secondary education in public administration, office/business administration or financial management or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.- Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with eApprovals document approval system.
- Records management experience with ARCS/ORCS.
- Experience with contract management/procurement. Experience working in an executive office with a large staff**Security Screening**:
