**Why is this role so great?**

The Consolidation Center Logistics Manager is responsible for the day to day oversight for the consolidation center located at 570 Petrolia Drive. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that the consolidation center staff are trained on the appropriate current work instructions and are knowledgeable in the best practices for handling Teknion products.

**What is this role responsible for?**

**People**:

- Support the recruitment and retention of both salaried and hourly team members.
- Set SMART Goals and objectives for all direct reports that are aligned with the corporate priorities and goals.
- Promote a culture of safety to ensure all reasonable precautions are taken for the protection of the workers.
- Ensure that annual and periodic reviews are conducted for all team members within the consolidation center.
- Drive continuous improvement within the consolidation centre operation to ensure best practices are being followed.

**Product**:

- Detailed understanding of warehouse best practices required.
- Knowledge of different transportation modes and methodologies is essential.
- Ensure the team is trained on the proper handling processes to ensure the safe movement of goods from the consolidation centre to destination.
- Work collaboratively with other departments or plants to identify potential challenges with packing of products.
- Support claims process and investigations as needed.

**Projects**:

- Support the development and implementation of KPI’s and productivity measures to monitor key results areas for the business.
- Work collaboratively with other departments on systems enhancements and modifications.
- Support Teknion dealers and customers across all markets worldwide.

**Policy**:

- Ensure that CTPAT procedures are being followed at all times.
- Participate in the CTPAT committee and audit process.
- Detailed understanding of Health and Safety regulations for warehousing and transportation.
- Establish and maintain best practice guidelines and training plan for new hires including Material Handling Equipment training and certification.

**What is required for this role?**
- College diploma or university degree in logistics management or business management preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in transportation and logistics or distribution center management
- Must have excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
- Manage and execute a broad range of warehouse functions (receiving, put-away, picking, loading etc.)
- Knowledge of various quality systems such as Lean, Six Sigma, ISO etc.
- Understanding of different transportation modes and methods
- General understanding of Customs compliance documentation
- Excellent computer skills, including Google Docs, and Sheets
