Key Responsibilities:
Tree Care and Maintenance:
- Perform tree pruning, shaping, and trimming to enhance health, appearance, and safety.
- Conduct tree removal and stump grinding as necessary.
- Diagnose and treat tree diseases, pests, and other health issues.
- Implement fertilization, watering, and mulching practices to support tree growth.
Tree Assessment and Consultation:
- Conduct detailed tree inspections and risk assessments.
- Develop and implement tree preservation plans.
- Provide expert advice to clients on tree selection, planting, and care.
Safety and Equipment Operation:
- Operate and maintain various types of arborist equipment, including chainsaws, pruners, and chippers.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and protocols.
- Use climbing and rigging techniques safely and effectively.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all tree work performed.
- Prepare reports on tree health, risk assessments, and recommended treatments.
- Coordinate with team members and clients to schedule and plan work.
Qualifications:
- Certification from the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in arboriculture or related field.
- Proven experience with tree climbing, pruning, and removal techniques.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of tree biology, disease diagnosis, and treatment methods.
- Proficient in the use of arborist tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy objects, climbing trees, and working at heights.
- Stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
