**The Opportunity**

Lava Computer MFG Inc. (Lava), a Canadian manufacturer of electronic connectivity devices; “We link technologies together - LavaLink” is currently looking for a Sales Manager to maintain, develop and grow sales in its SimulCharge division.

In this position the successful applicant will manage the activities of one Business Developer and one dedicated Samsung & Lenovo Development Lead (focused only on our Samsung and Lenovo partners and opportunities they provide). In the short and medium term they will be the sales team with the goal of retaining and increasing monthly sales to necessitate the hire of another sales person.

Ultimately this position will be difficult and will require a lot of hard work and perseverance. Lava seeks a person who is excited by and sees opportunity in this challenge and is prepared to hit the ground running.

**Job Description/Responsibilities**
- Actively manage customer accounts
- Process customer sales orders by entering and transferring orders to fulfillment; communicate expected delivery date; coordinate shipping; explains issues and resolutions internally and to the customer
- Follow-up to ensure orders are processed correctly, information is accurate, customer's needs are met, and that concerns or issues are resolved quickly and effectively
- Follow-up with customers post sale to ensure the customer has all questions answered and access to full technical support
- Unearth customer insights, define value proposition, determine appropriate sales strategy to maximize growth objectives
- Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key revenue opportunities in target markets
- Develop and maintain a reseller, VAR and system integrator network
- Cold call and qualify incoming leads by identifying decision makers, assess prospect/customer needs, identify "business pain", understand technical environments, map out organizations and overcome objections
- Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; educate, recommend and demonstrate solutions
- Seek, build and maintain a portfolio of business contacts, leads, prospective customers and corporate accounts
- Cultivate and nurture existing customer relationship management and development with key stakeholders by providing information, and guidance; recommend profit and service improvements
- Record all communication, sales and lead qualification activity into CRM system
- Manage and maintain a sales pipeline
- Project expected sales volume for existing and new products.
- Directly manage the assigned team and work closely with assigned technical resources and other functional teams
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of all LAVA products
- Research market and competitor intelligence and develop strategies to maintain Lava’s competitiveness
- Assist the LAVA Marketing team on campaigns, promotions, projects, and initiatives

**Qualifications**
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team of sales people to performance in excess of sales objectives
- Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build motivated sales team; close sales
- Demonstrated ability to identify business opportunities in relation to growth strategies and to coach others to do so
- Track record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas personally and as a sales leader
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, proposals, and other sales related documents
- Strong business acumen, approachable with solid work ethic, and high integrity

**Education**

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management, Psychology, Sociology, or equivalent.

MBA is a plus.

**Experience**

10 years of combined, progressive experience in sales and then leading sales teams, preferably in a technology industry

Experience in transitioning from a single sales person to sales team is a strong plus

**Authority/ Decision Making**
- Works autonomously to grow revenue across geographies/departments/product lines
- Has 2 reports

**Working Conditions**

Applicants will be required to work from the office; remote work is not an option. Domestic and international travel may occasionally be required for trade shows, major conferences and special events.

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
