The Therapy Aide will perform duties and tasks related to decreasing client behaviors and enhancing their quality of
life. The Therapy Aide supports the clinical work of the Recreation Therapist through therapeutic interventions and
programming. This position involves working in partnership with staff, residents, families, and utilizing volunteers
effectively.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Recreation Therapy related education an asset
- Food Safe Training required
- Texture Modified Training required
- Airway Management Training required
- Emergency First Aid/CPR
- Behaviour Management Training (where required)
- Related experience required
- Valid class 5 driver’s license

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Facilitate a variety of programs for residents with direction from the Recreation Therapist- Assist and encourage resident active participation in programming
- Encourage residents to make choices and to maintain or enhance their level of independence

**SHIFT INFORMATION**
