**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for the daily monitoring of all Treasury and Securities Lending exposures and ensure all remain with operating targets and limits as set by internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide effective credit, interest rate, and liquidity risk and valuation oversight for Treasury and Securities Lending business lines.
- Review risk and compliance environment and identify and implement and necessary changes.
- Review proposed new trading and securities to ensure that market risks and valuation are well understood, and that appropriate limits and controls are established.
- Effectively communicate risk issues, breaches and solutions to all levels within the organization, Risk Management, Finance, Treasury, other control groups and senior management.
- Oversee the work of Risk Analysts and develop the team by providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance.
- Validate treasury and risk management tools and EUC’s
- Pro-actively review the effectiveness of control measures, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions to minimize potential risks.
- Support internal and external auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders on risk management and control reviews.
- Support and reviews all Bank of Canada, CDIC and OSFI enquiries, filing, and leads all regulatory and internal reporting for the Asset & Liability Committee (ALCO).

**Qualifications**:

- 5-7 years’ experience in risk management including proven experience in credit, interest rate and liquidity risk.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other relevant discipline.
- Progress towards or completion of CFA, FRM, CSC and other investment and risk related designations preferred.
- Solid understanding of risk measurement concepts and methodologies including LCR, VaR, DV01, EVE, and EaR with an overall understanding of broader regulatory and financial concepts.
- Deep capital markets knowledge with experience in control functions covering derivatives and interest rate hedging strategies with a particular focus on interest rate swap derivatives.
- Advanced critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with cross functional teams, colleagues, partners, and stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Robust organizational and team management skills with the ability to work in a demanding environment and handle multiple deadlines and priorities.
