The Retail & Community Marketing Manager is responsible for elevating the Knix brand across retail & wholesale as well as hiring, developing, and leading a team of field marketers (known as Knix Regional Community and Brand Ambassadors) that will drive brand and sales initiatives across Canada and the U.S. This individual will be accountable for growing brand awareness, acquiring new Knix consumers, executing seasonal marketing campaigns in retail & wholesale, and driving traffic to and sales in Knix retail and key wholesale partner locations.

This individual will provide strategic direction and support to the Regional Community and Brand Ambassadors in developing local partnerships, educating consumers about the brand and our products, executing community activations, planning in-store events, and being a spokesperson for the brand in their respective markets. This person is a highly collaborative leader who will work closely with the PR & Communications, Marketing, Knix Retail & Wholesale teams to align in-market initiatives and in-store marketing executions with broader brand strategies and seasonal campaigns.

**The Opportunity**:

- Hire, develop, lead and coach a team of Regional and Community Ambassadors
- Establish strong working relationships with PR & Communications, Marketing, Knix Retail & Wholesale teams to drive strategic priorities, execute in-store seasonal marketing campaigns, and develop grassroots marketing initiatives
- Collaborate with Knix Retail & Wholesale teams on in-store initiatives and activations
- Provide guidance and tools to a team of Regional and Community Ambassadors to build and execute against a pipeline of trunk shows, pop ups, trade shows and other relevant local events where the brand should be present
- Explore and vet partnerships with external, non-competing brands to help accelerate brand awareness
- Responsible for supporting regional retail teams to fulfill local needs

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of work experience in branding, marketing, retail marketing, community marketing or consumer-facing sales.
- Demonstrated success in hiring, coaching and leading field-based teams
- Demonstrated experience developing consumer acquisition and engagement initiatives
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively across functions to drive towards common goals
- Previous experience negotiating contracts & agreements
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to remain positive, proactive, and keep direct reports and cross-functional stakeholders engaged and accountable
- Experience with trade shows, trunk shows or similar events is a plus
- Ability to think critically and creatively to problem-solve
- Strong interpersonal skills and an despite to build and cultivate relationshipsA Bachelor’s degree is considered an asset.
