**Hours: Full time
- 35 hrs per week**
**Location: Hybrid: In-person at our Vancouver office and virtual**
**Compensation: $62,820 - $68,526 annualized**:
Pacific Immigrant Resources Society (PIRS) is a community-based, non-profit organization serving immigrant and refugee women and their young children since 1975. PIRS delivers accessible, inclusive, low-barrier programs for immigrant and refugee women and their children that create a sense of belonging, meaningful participation and leadership.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Grant Writing and Philanthropy Communications**:
Identify and pursue grant opportunities, ensuring alignment with funder priorities and organizational goals.

Create donor-focused communication materials such as newsletters, updates, and impact reports.

Collaborate across teams to gather key data, stories, and messaging to support integrated philanthropy communications.

**Fundraising and Donor Engagement**:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with government funders, donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organizations.

Develop and execute donor engagement and retention strategies, including campaigns, events, and outreach to secure and sustain funding and sponsorships.

Oversee all aspects of fundraising events, including planning, logistics, sponsorship, and evaluation.

Ensure effective donor recognition and stewardship to foster ongoing support.

**Program Oversight and Reporting**:
Lead the development and management of the philanthropy program, aligning it with organizational goals and strategies.

Ensure compliance with government and funder requirements, including accurate reporting and use of funds.

Maintain meticulous records of funding agreements, reporting timelines, and donor interactions.

Stay informed on relevant policies, legislation, and trends to enhance the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement strategies.

Foster and maintain effective communication with staff, volunteers, partners, vendors, and management, providing guidance where necessary.

**JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS**:
Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.

7+ years’ experience managing philanthropy, fundraising and/or donor programs, events and projects within the non-profit sector; ideally working with immigrant &/or refugee women and families.

Must be comfortable and thrive with donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.

Strong understanding of government funding structures, priorities, and compliance requirements.

Strong practical understanding of the immigrant settlement sector, women and children, and inclusion in Canada

Strong project management skills with ability to self-manage projects from beginning to end, and manage within a set budget.

Demonstrated experience in communications, donor stewardship, grant writing and philanthropy.

Ability to navigate complex policy environments and advocate effectively.

Proficient in using various software and digital tools

Understanding of trauma-informed approaches

Non-judgmental and positive attitude towards diverse cultures, religions, races, genders, sexualities, and special needs free from stereotypes

Understanding of the intersecting barriers and unique needs of immigrant and refugee women

Passion for inclusivity and diversity, with an interest in being part of a multicultural team

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) (dependent on funding).

Requires ability to function independently and frequently under pressure while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines including effectively managing emergency situations.

Must be able to travel between programs across Vancouver and in some Lower Mainland communities.

Flexibility to set up events in different working environments across the Lower Mainland.

Occasional weekend and evening work may be required.

Supervision.
