Cahill Industrial Limited is seeking qualified applicants for a **Quality Inspector** to support our collaborative team in Western Canada. As a Quality Inspector with Cahill, you will play an integral role in monitoring welding activities and carry out final weld visual inspections to ensure all requirements of inspection and test plans are followed and verified. Your thorough knowledge will allow you to provide technical input on production to determine welding discrepancies and issues.

As a Quality inspector, you also assist with the coordination of NDE with third-party providers and request and verify NDE completion. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, which will allow you to build strong, professional work relationships with our key clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities on project-related issues. You will play an integral role in producing concise documentation for assessments, handover materials, and preparation of final documentation. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us consistently deliver exceptional products to our clients. This position will be based out of Calgary, AB.

**What will you do?**
- Ensure all requirements of Inspection and Test Plans are followed and verified
- Verify and maintain welder qualification records
- Monitor welding and carry out final weld visual inspection
- Assist in preparation of technically accurate documentation for use in the assessment and disposition of NCR’s
- Coordinate NDE with third-party providers and request and verify NDE completion
- Receive, inspect and verify material in accordance with specifications
- Provide technical input to production for welding issues as required
- Coordinate the completion of quality control activities
- Prepare final documentation for assessment and handover materials
- Maintain traceability as required by certifying authorities
- Liaise with clients and regulatory authorities on project-related issues
- Review and approve supplier and subcontractor supplied documentation
- Verify supplier and subcontractor activities are performed in accordance with their Inspection and Test Plans and check sheets
- Travel to project sites as required

**What will you bring?**
- Post-secondary technical diploma or degree and experience in Quality Control programs related to welding/fabrication and/or ISO 9001:2008 compliant quality management systems
- Experience in welding and/or fabrication is required
- Minimum CWB Level 1 Certification Required
- W47.1/59 and/or ASME B31.3 endorsement
- Experience in a similar quality role is considered an asset
- Experience in Mechanical Pumps and Epoxy grouting is considered an asset
- Knowledge of ASME, CSA codes, and standards is considered an asset
- Must be familiar with weld mapping, as-built drawing generation, and document turnover
