**Field Technician**
- **Battlefield Equipment Rentals**_(a division of _**Toromont Industries Ltd**_.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Field Technician in our Ottawa location.

**Job Summary**

The branch is a busy, customer driven facility. It is a fast paced, team orientated atmosphere that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available for our customers. This position requires a hard-working, dedicated individual with excellent attention to detail, who can excel in a busy, team-oriented environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Participate in safe workplace safety, environmentally sound behaviors and practices at all times in support of Battlefield’s health and safety policy programs and initiatives;
- Repair and service equipment on site;
- Perform inspections on equipment on job site;
- Ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner;
- Maneuver efficiently and effectively within the region in all traffic situations;
- Provide excellent customer relations in a fast-paced;
- Adaptable to on-call work schedules and willing to work in all weather conditions;
- Ensure vehicle is maintained and organized;
- Perform other duties as assigned;
**Key Qualifications**
- Existing knowledge of construction equipment and building products.
- Hands on experience in the repair and service/maintenance requirements for various types of construction equipment.
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with company and factory standards.
- Ability to work independently, and in a team atmosphere.
- Good communication and people skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Operate and maintain all shop equipment and ensure a safe, clean & organized shop area
- All other duties as assigned by the Branch & Service Managers.

**Additional Qualifications and Skills**
- Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting, as heavy lifting will be required frequently.
- Your own tools are required.

**Salary**: $68,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
