**POSITION**:
**Logistics Coordinator**

**LOCATION: Paris, Ontario**

**REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor**

**SCOPE**:
The Logistics Coordinator ensures continuous and seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items, whilst providing comprehensive support to the Operations Department.**RESULTS**:
Improve profitability and product launch success by ensuring:

- Sourced goods and services meet delivery, performance, quality and cost targets supporting corporate metrics and customer expectations
- Freight expenses are managed through recovery and control
- Yearly expenses for controllable facility overheads are optimized
- Inventory accuracy is held at or above industry standards
- Warehouse capacity is maintained and utilized to improve efficiency

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan shipments based on customer requests and product availability
- Schedule daily transportation requirements with different carriers/couriers
- Track orders/shipments to ensure timely and successful deliveries
- Provide updates to customer on the status of their deliveries
- Generate customs paperwork; packing slips, labels and bills of lading
- Coordinate with customs brokers, if applicable
- Assist with receiving, sorting and distributing incoming shipments

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Two to four years’ experience in a similar Logistics role; specifically in logistics operations and shipping and receiving
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- A strong ability to evaluate and assist the department with cost effective logistic solutions to improve transportation costs
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, timing and broker solutions
- Sharp attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to build and develop new relationships with customs, transportation carriers etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Solid ability to utilize basic office equipment required to perform functions of the position
- Forklift License is an asset
