Long standing Dental clinic at Vancouver Aboriginal Health Society (VAHS), a Non-Profit organization (NPO) located on the Downtown Eastside (DTES) of Vancouver is looking for a dental administrator/office manager. We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Office Manager to join our team. As the Dental Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our office, ensuring efficiency and productivity. This is a key role that requires strong leadership skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

**Duties**:

- Supervise and manage office staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain accurate records and files, both electronic and physical
- Manage budgets and financial records, including invoicing, billing, and payroll
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for staff
- Oversee inventory management and ordering of office supplies
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency

**Skills**:

- Previous experience working in a hospital or dental office setting is preferred
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management principles
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure

**Experience**:

- Dental office management: 1 year (required), preferable 2 years.
- Dental receptionist: 2 years (required)

Work Location: VAHS Dental Clinic 455 E. Hastings Street, Vancouver BC

**Salary**: $25-35 per hour (negotiable depending upon experience)
