**Team & Job Overview**

Our Corporate Sustainability Group is seeking to recruit a Manager for the Medium segment of the Environmental, Social and Governance Customer Success Group (ESG CS). The Manager would become an integral part of a multi-disciplinary advisory team comprised of experts in various sub-specialties including social and human rights, labour, occupational health and safety, environmental management, environmental law, climate change and biodiversity, to name a few, in an international context. The Manager would be central in supporting a high performing team in their assessment of the environmental and social risks related to commercial transactions within an array of sectors taking place all over the world.

Reporting to the Director, ESG Customer Success - Medium Segment, the Manager would play a leadership role, working with Directors and Managers of ESG CS to ensure alignment and consistency of the assessments with respect to risk and impact assessments, as well as team cohesion. Through some oversight and hands-on ESG, business or operational risk expertise, the Manager would ensure ESG CS provides well researched & consistent advice to EDC in managing environmental and social risks for our financing and insurance products in accordance with EDC’s environmental and social risk management (ESRM) framework. The Manager would leverage an understanding of environmental and social risk management (or other risk management experience) to ensure accurate and consistent delivery of advisory services through the use of quality control and assurance procedures. The Manager would also be responsible for supporting and managing the capacity, the performance and the skills/career development of the Environmental and Social Advisors to ensure their capabilities meet the organization’s needs.

The Manager, ESG CS would also support the implementation and/or refinement of corporate sustainability and responsibility due diligence practices, procedures and initiatives in collaboration with other ESG and business teams. In addition to the above, the Manager would be expected to be hands on in supporting the completion of challenging transactions or the socialization of emerging issues. He/she could also be called upon to represent EDC with internal and external stakeholders. A strong communicator and compelling storyteller, he/she can educate and influence stakeholders regarding the ESG Customer Success team’s mandate and purpose across EDC and to other stakeholders.

**Discipline Summary**
- Establishes and supports the corporate environmental and social risk management framework including the determination of risk tolerance and the implementation of an integrated risk modeling system
- Is involved in the E&S assessment of potential risks at every level and aggregates the results at the corporate level to facilitate priority setting and improved decision making
- Identifies and analyses potential non-credit related sources of risk for the operations of the Corporation more broadly, and recommends strategies for minimizing risks
- Communicates information regarding enterprise risks with functions across the organization

- Ensures risk assessment methodologies established through EDC’s ESRM framework are applied rigorously and are revised as required
- In conjunction with ESG CS Managers and Principal, keeps a pulse on the evolving issues and trends in the environmental and social risk management arena (including human rights)
- Builds and leverages internal and external networks to identify and act on opportunities to continually improve EDC’s environmental and social risk management due diligence procedures and practices
