Hamilton, Canada United Dairy and Grocers Inc. Full time

The Territory Sales Representative is responsible to identify and pursue opportunities to increase sales of current and new items to customers within their assigned territory.

This includes selling in new listings, maintaining current listings, presenting promotional plans, booking seasonal orders, and suggesting items for cross merchandising or secondary placement.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Salary Range: $52 - $60K

Territory: Hamilton / Niagara

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct sales calls with appropriate store/department personnel and secure orders for listed products
- Present promotional programs and seasonal bookings.
- Propose cross-merchandising opportunities to increase sales.
- Present and sell items for seasonal, holiday, or other displays to maximize revenue.
- Stock, merchandise, and ensure proper placement of product.
- Maintain adequate inventory level by removing out-of-date or un-saleable products and reorder as necessary.
- Audit store shelves to ensure shelf tags are in place, identify slow or discontinued items, and write / transmit orders for replenishment.
- Prepare and process all paperwork and reports including, but not limited to, sales call activity reports, orders, credits, and expense reports.
- Resolve store issues by working with store management and enlist appropriate company support.
- Attend and participate in Trade Shows as requested.
- Build positive relationships with all store level personnel
- Maintain store information and territory route lists to be current.
- Maintain strong product knowledge.
- Other duties and special projects as requested.

Qualifications, Skills
- Minimum of two (2) years sales/marketing experience in food or CPG preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office required.
- Must have current and valid driver’s license and able to travel.
- Should have ability to prioritize multiple tasks with high energy level, comfortable performing multi-faceted tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Should have strong organization and time management skills with ability to work independently.
- Team Player - assist with projects and other initiatives when needed
- Understand and react accordingly when a “sense of urgency” arises. Be action-oriented with positive results in mind. Resourcefulness
- Sales oriented with strong communication skills (oral and written) and fluent in English with above average presentation skills.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- cpg or food sales: 2 years (required)
