Healthy Families Home Visitation Facilitator

Healthy families is a home based program. Our primary focus is on fostering the growth of secure attachment relationships and developmentally enriched, empathic parenting that supports families to reduce their stress and build protective buffers for their children.

Home Visitation Facilitators provide primary and effective early intervention within the context of the family home. Our primary focus is: To build foundations for strong family functioning, foster the growth of secure attachment relationships and developmentally enriched, empathic parenting, to promote healthy childhood growth and development and support for prenatal care and its role in a healthy pregnancy. As a further extension we provide long term support in response to substance use during pregnancy.

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary education in a Human Services related field or equivalent
- Knowledge of parenting, child development, and family dynamics
- Experience providing support to families and their children in their home
- Experience or training in the areas of child development, positive parenting, healthy family functioning, strong community connections
- Strong interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle - ability to travel

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $25.54 per hour
