**Job Summary**: As a Supplier Performance Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and management of our supplier network. Your primary objective will be to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness through the development and implementation of robust supplier performance management strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster strong relationships with suppliers to meet organizational goals.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Supplier Evaluation and Selection**:
- Conduct thorough assessments of potential suppliers to determine their capabilities, reliability, and alignment with organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify and onboard strategic suppliers that can contribute to the company's objectives.
- **Performance Monitoring and Analysis**:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate supplier performance in areas such as quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Implement systems and processes to monitor supplier performance regularly and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze data and trends to identify root causes of performance issues and develop action plans to address them effectively.
- **Supplier Development and Relationship Management**:
- Work closely with suppliers to establish clear expectations and performance targets, fostering a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship.
- Provide guidance and support to suppliers to help them improve their processes, capabilities, and performance levels.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and meetings with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, address concerns, and drive continuous improvement.
- **Risk Management**:
- Identify potential risks within the supplier network and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to operations.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and other factors that may impact supplier performance and take proactive measures to address them.
- **Continuous Improvement**:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing supplier performance, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency.
- Drive initiatives such as supplier consolidation, process optimization, and technology adoption to achieve performance objectives.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, quality assurance, operations, and engineering teams, to align supplier performance goals with overall business objectives.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on supplier performance, escalate issues as needed, and solicit feedback to improve processes.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in supplier management, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on supplier performance improvement.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices in supplier management and performance measurement.
- Proficiency in using supplier management software, ERP systems, and other tools to monitor and analyze supplier performance.
