**Database Administrator**
**(20 hours per week, Permanent)**

**Who We are**:
The Regional Coordination Centre (RCC) is hosted by Langs and is funded by Ontario Health West. The RCC is a coordination and referral centre to streamline access to care in the region of Waterloo Wellington. Their role is to coordinate services and to support individuals and health care providers by providing one location to receive, triage and direct referrals for care throughout the region. Currently we host central intake for diabetes, orthopedics, cataracts and the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program. The RCC also coordinates workshops region-wide to support people managing chronic diseases.

**What We are Looking For**:
Coordinator as well as external partners and vendor(s) to further develop Central Intake systems. The Regional Coordination Centre is based in
Cambridge but this role will involve travel throughout the region.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (computer science, health informatics or related field required)
- Extensive experience creating and managing relational databases using Microsoft Access 2010 and SQL
- Familiarity of provincial digital health strategies and experience with Ocean eReferral
- Excellent organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills with demonstrated attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal problem solving skills
- Ability to multitask, set priorities and organize own work, meetings, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of data entry, running queries, importing/exporting data, developing reports
- Knowledge of provincial healthcare system
- Experience initiating and providing various types of training
- Ability to work independently as well as to work cooperatively with other team members;
- High level of initiative, creativity, and judgment;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**In this role you will be expected to complete the following tasks**
- Create and/or maintain current databases for central intakes;
- Create and run standard reports, with an understanding of the need for flexibility and building additional queries.
- Maintain data integrity;
- Support the maintenance of the central intake systems including working with eReferral vendor(s) to continually update and expand the electronic system further;
- Train and support referral clerks on processes, data-entry, report functionality, physician listing etc.
- Prepare training materials, standard operating manuals, policies and procedures;
- Prepare and submit status and quarterly reports as requested by accountability agreements;
- Work collaboratively with the team to promote central intake to Health Service Providers throughout the region
- Participate in communities of practice or working groups as appropriate

- Starting Salary of $30.25 -$36.44 hourly
- 3 Weeks paid vacation, with an increase to 4 weeks after 1 year of employment
