**Summary**:
The role of Material Pricing in supply chain management is responsible for managing the material pricing activity to win new business including generation of Bill of Material. Maintain and support company's profitable growth. Understand and well aware the market trend and market pricing for particular segment. Conduct cost and price analysis, develop dashboards and recurring reports to translate data and information into insight to position ourselves in the market competition and support our pricing strategy.
**Detailed Description**:
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Coordinates and manages the material pricing activity for select customers in a market segment.
- Prepares material pricing independently for new business opportunities (bids) including generation of Bill of Material, cost analysis and price negotiation.
- Participates in kick-off meetings and interacts with Sales as well as counterparts in other regions.
- Consolidates, tabulates, analyzes and reports on various commitment and performance metrics
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**:
- Coordinate and manage the material pricing activities independently including generation of Costed Bill of Materials, cost analysis and price negotiation.
- Participate in developing compelling material price solutions / proposals to help company win and maintain profitable business.
- Manage customer request from end to end process through Global Supply Chain Services supporting functions.
- Broad knowledge of the marketplace conditions for the area of specialization including industry pricing, technology and supply/demand trends.
- Co-ordination with other business functions including Marketing, Finance, Commodity Manager, Site Program Manager, and Business in process improvement.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the company's business goals
- Strong knowledge on Electronics/Storage/Server products is preferrable
- Knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to consolidate, manipulate and analyze large quantities of data.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
**Typical Experience**:
- 5 years related working experience
- 2-3 years on IT system integration (Storage / Server products) will be an advantage
**Typical Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in related field (Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, IT) preferred
