**Purpose**:
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manager of Information Technology is accountable for planning, developing, configuring and maintaining all corporate hardware, software and any related infrastructure of CMHA-North Bay and
District. This position includes the construction and design of all plans for ensuring functionality, data consistency, security and usability of all systems aligned with CMHA NBD’s priorities and projects. This position is also responsible for guaranteeing that staff have the information technology tools to do their work effectively. This person is accountable for overseeing the IT team by providing direction and leadership, supervising performance to ensure the department meets high performance expectations and identifies work issues as they arise.

**Education and training**:

- Completion of post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related area of study coupled with recent progressive experience in leading an IT function which is normally attained over a period of no less than five years. (Additional related experience may serve as a suitable equivalent for completion of post-secondary education)

**Requirements**:

- A negative Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- A valid Class G driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Daily access to a reliable vehicle
- Able to lift at a minimum 20 lb from squatting to standing position
- Demonstrated strong Project Management and logistics experience
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset

**Experience**:

- Prior experience leading/managing a team of IT professionals is required
- Advanced technical expertise in the following areas: MS Windows Servers, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, LAN/WAN, firewalls, NAS; HTML, PowerShell Scripting, VPN, Active Directory, network protocols and services (FTP,TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP); virus and spam protection as well as administrative systems for finance, human resources and contact management
- Experience in a charitable or non-profit environment, with a focus on health, mental health or public health is an asset

**Duties**:

- Engineer hardware and software solutions for business needs
- Install new or rebuild existing services and hardware, settings, storage, to achieve operational requirements and project specifications
- Research and recommend improvements to the Organization’s infrastructure
- Provide support for development processes by participating in data modeling
- Collaborate with other IT and Operational staff to ensure database integrity, security and ongoing performance
- Advising about database design or use of objects
- Perform regular updates and maintenance of hardware and software resources to mitigate difficulties
- Control and monitor all user access throughout the Organization
- Troubleshoot errors and fix system issues via periodic testing, help desk tickets and any other necessary methods
- Act as a technical resource during projects as required
- Strive for continuous improvements in all facets of information technology
- Prepare, maintain, and communicate and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Ensure exceptional customer service and solid customer relationship by implementing processes to deliver quality solutions
- Ensure company and safety policies, and compliance regulations are adhered to by the department
- Promote and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Performs other duties as required
