**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Director, Seniors Services, the Associate Director Clinical and Support Services is responsible for directing and defining the quality, standards, and clinical needs for the Seniors Services Division. Directs and plans for consistent practice through effective implementation and sustainability of consistent systems, processes, and programs to ensure compliance with the Fixing LTC Act and the Regulations under the Act, Public Health, long-term care and multi-sector accountability agreement obligations (LSAA / MSAA), College of Nurses requirements, as well as corporate policies and priorities. Applies strong relationship building and project management skills to provide high quality and effective services to Seniors Services.
**Education**:
- Post-secondary degree in Science in Nursing (BScN) with additional courses in administration
- Masters in Health Administration or equivalent
- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse
- Long-Term Care Administrator Certificate
- Additional courses in Gerontology preferred
**Knowledge**:
- At least 7 years of progressive experience within a Long-Term Care Home environment in the area of Administration and Nursing Management
- At least 7 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a similar setting
- Advanced knowledge of nursing clinical practice
- Knowledge of electronic documentation software
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, human resource management, and experience in leading teams, and support change management projects
- Advanced knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act and Regulations under the Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Accreditation process, the Long-Term Care Services Accountability Agreement (LSAA), Multi-Sector Agency Accountability Agreement (MSAA), Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) obligations and Health Quality Ontario (HQO) obligations
- Knowledge of Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA), Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) Coll
