Commercial Account Manager

**PRINCIPAL FOCUS**:
Commercial Account Manager, (CAM) is responsible for the Market and Sales strategies and sales for the Federal Government and Ottawa region, cultivating and securing tender, standing offers, and selling digital imaging solutions, products and services to commercial businesses within a defined service area. The CAM has an office within a Vistek Retail store and reports to the National Commercial Sales Manager. The CAM works closely with the Commercial Operations Manager and is supported administratively by a Commercial Sales Coordinator that assists with bids, quotes, inventory acquisitions, reservations, and order fulfillment. The CAM works with the Marketing team to develop content for Marketing champaigns for developing business with the Federal Government entities.
**PRIMARY DUTIES**:
- Prime for Vistek’s business development and account management within the Ottawa Region including the federal government
- Working within the Ottawa Retail Store, the Commercial Account Manager will provide sales support to the Ottawa Sales Management team
- Conduct Market analysis and work with the Marketing team to develop Marketing champaigns targeted at developing new business in the various branches of the federal government and governmental agencies.
Develops and maintains successful and profitable relationships within a defined geographical area through client relationship management, outreach, association memberships, visits, direct correspondence, events and seminar invitations, etc..
- Meet monthly/quarterly and yearly quotas for the Ottawa region
- Provides technical consultation on photography and video solutions to meet B2B client’s business needs making recommendations on specific products and accessories to address technical and business requirements.
- Responsible for growing market share and increased market penetration through prospecting new clients in designated categories as well as new and emerging segments
- Leverage the CRM and marketing opportunities to manage client relations and grow the client base of the B2B business at Vistek.
- Use effective sales tools, and programs to share new products and technologies with existing and new clients.
- Responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle including: sales to new and existing clients, price negotiation, pipeline management and providing demos to clients.
- Understand your geographic marketplace and your competitors, monitoring and gathering current marketplace and competitor information on pricing, products and new market opportunities
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Must be able to prospect, qualify, and close multiple opportunities in parallel, while maintaining ongoing business partner relationships.
- Ability to meet sales quotas for each month, quarter and year
- Have 5+ years of successful B2B sales experience and client relationship management
- Working knowledge of HubSpot functionality and features a definite asset
- Post-secondary education and/or training in photography, videography or film fields important
- Honours degree in Marketing, Sales, Commerce or related fields is an asset
- In depth knowledge of photo and/or video products and industry
- Knowledge of and contacts in one or more of the public and/or para-public sectors, (hospitals, police, municipalities, education, government, etc.) as well as in the commercial B2B photographic and video industries.
- Ability to travel to client locations; Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle.
- Bilingualism will be considered an asset but not mandatory
