**About the role**

We’re looking for a **Unit Claims Manager, Commercial Auto** for our office located in Mississauga

As a **Unit Claims Manager, Commercial Auto**, your work will have a big impact as you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise to a team of claims professionals. You and your team will be accountable for providing quality service, completing work processes effectively and efficiently, and continuously identifying areas of improvement.

**What you’ll do here**:

- Provide leadership and manage team operations to achieve Intact’s key business objectives
- Select, lead, mentor, manage performance and develop staff
- Act in a consultative and advisory capacity on liability determination, investigation, policy interpretation, settlement negotiation and reserve establishment for claims
- Resolve complex claims related issues and/or escalated problems
- Support Ontario Claims System Administration team & Auto Facility adjusters as required
- Be a team player supporting needs of other Commercial & Operations teams
- Identify and recommend changes to policies and/or processes to improve business results and maintain competitiveness

**What you bring to the table**:

- Minimum 1-2 years of experience at supervisory/managerial level preferred
- Ongoing commitment to self-development
- Strong technical skills in auto or commercial auto claims (preferred)
- Leadership skills including ability to motivate and coach staff to deliver results
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Experience working in a contact centre environment would be an asset
- University degree/College diploma preferred
