**Project Manager - Stoney Creek (Ontario)**

With offices in Stoney Creek (Ontario), Boisbriand and Saguenay (Quebec),, we are currently looking for a **project manager** attached to our Stoney Creek team serving a varied clientele throughout Ontario.

Under the responsibility of the General Manager, the **Project Manager’s** primary function is to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate all aspects of a specific project including engineering, purchasing, quality, production to ensure the finished product is delivered on time, within budget and meets customer quality expectations. In your activities, you will have to interact with customers, suppliers and internal project team members in the shop, service and offices.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate all aspects of a project through regular communication with engineering, purchasing, quality, production departments to ensure the project is running as planned, if not, initiate corrective action to get the project back on plan
- Liaison with the customer for the purpose of communicating project status, addressing open issues and managing customer change requests.
- Create and maintain detailed work plans, project schedules/deliverables, risk management reports, projected cost reports, variance to budget reports, open issue lists, and project evaluation reports.
- Conduct project kick-off meetings with all departments to communicate project scope, work plans and deliverables.
- Communicate the project status to management on a regular basis using established reporting methods.
- Organize and monitor paper and electronic files to ensure all project documentation is organized and secure for all aspects of the project, including contributions from other departments.
- Provide external technical support to new and existing customers through field visits, customer meetings, and design reviews.
- Manage multiple projects with short term and competing deadlines at any given time.
- Participate in estimating, including material selection and proposal submissions.
- Involved in sales and follow-up proposals.

**Qualifications**
- College or Bachelor’s degree in, Business, Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience
- Electrical and/or mechanical experience
- Experience in overhead lifting equipment (an asset)
- Experience reading Blueprints
- Have a lot of initiative, be creative and be punctual
- Good sense of observation and customer relations
- Ability to manage pressure, prioritization and day-to-day challenges
- Valid driver's license
- Hardworking, available and willing to travel in Ontario
- Have a safety conscious mindset

**Other Requirements**:

- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Understand how this position impacts the quality of products and services provided to our customers.
- Produce quality work (on spec, on time, on budget).
- Participate proactively in the continuous improvement process.
- Be self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task.
- Work well within a team environment.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Maintain a professional, clean and safe work area.

The position is on a basic schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
