A Bronze Age is a contemporary clothing and accessories brand based out of Vancouver, BC. We are carried in over 70 retailers worldwide and proudly manufacture everything within a 20km distance of our East Vancouver head office.

We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Manager. As PM, you will oversee the full scope of our manufacturing process and play an instrumental role in ensuring our collection comes to life This position is best suited for someone who has a positive mindset, collaborates well with others, leads with kindness and has a keen ability to pivot or problem solve when needed.

**PRODUCTION MANAGER**

**REQUIREMENTS**
- At least 2 years experience in apparel production management or comparable role in the fashion industry
- Proficient in basic math, excel/google sheets and generally tech-savvy
- Strong Knowledge of garment construction, patterns and fashion fabrics/trims/notions
- Experience in the product development process and apparel production
- Exceptional time management and high-level organizational skills
- A people-person, positive attitude and gets along well with others
- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and can continuously innovate to achieve great results.
- Confident in managing others, communicates clearly/respectfully and can hold space for others to do the same
- Thrives working in a fast-paced, start-up environment and can easily adapt to changes
- Knowledge of small-batch, local production is an asset
- Values joy and ease as a way of being and can extend this to the workplace

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Allocate the production of wholesale/e-comm orders and manage the overall flow of production as orders come in.
- Maintain relationships with all contract sewers/pattern makers/factories - the first point of contact for these people when ordering patterns, grading and placing production orders
- Oversees all sample construction with contractors and sits in on weekly design meetings to ensure our creative vision translates into the garments/accessories being sampled
- Answer any questions our manufacturers may have about construction/production
- Maintain consistent fits and grade rules in our garments
- Ensures all fabric and notions pass quality and shrinkage tests
- Responsible for fabric orders and maintaining adequate inventory levels of all notions, thread and fabric
- Maintains costing spreadsheet and works with owner on pricing each garment
- Negotiates the best possible rates for production runs, fabric orders and on the lookout for growth opportunities
- Helps with sourcing fabrics. Responsible for sourcing all notions and related supplies.
- Checking samples for quality, fit and construction - ensuring they uphold a high standard of quality and consistent fit
- Overseeing QC and standard QC guidelines for all clothing garments
- Double checks all new patterns to ensure they are correct, to spec and in working order
- Co-managing the production coordinator (with operations manager): setting their driving tasks, overseeing their cutting orders/ sewing pos, delegating various production tasks to them on an as-needed basis
- Overseeing Fabric Inventory and identifying when reorders are required
- Set Notions/Trim Inventory and maintain to the best of our ability. This is a shared responsibility with the production coordinator.
- Reviewing and sending out weekly PO’s to sewers
- Overseeing the weekly PO Sewing Checklist, relaying needs of sewers to production coordinator
- Recruiting new home sewers and factories as needed, first point of contact
- Overseeing the grading of all new seasonal patterns and address grading concerns
- Determining costing details of each garment (inputting info into shared spreadsheet) as they are finalized and assisting CEO with pricing duties as needed
- Sending out fabric orders to various suppliers when needed.
- Reaching out to suppliers for pricing and fabric information
