**Role**
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister (ADM), the Executive Director, Workplace Supports and Prevention (ED, WS&P) provides strategic direction and oversight for the development, implementation and coordination of corporate health and wellness frameworks, policies, directives, programs and initiatives in unionized and non-unionized work environments across the Alberta Public Service (APS). Your excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills will help you achieve successful outcomes across the Alberta Public Service.
This role is accountable for overseeing the following WS&P Branch priorities:
- Lead the corporate direction for the development and implementation of the Duty to Accommodate policy and governance.
- Establish direction and oversight for the development and implementation of the Respect in the Workplace policies, training and supports.
- Manage and oversee the vendor and contract outcomes for the Employee and Family Assistance programs including stakeholder relations and best practices across the industry.
- Establish and manage the Workforce Restoration program across government including prevention measurements and comprehensive success rate evaluations.
- Lead the development and implementation of Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) framework across government including increased mental health literacy and peer support as well as develop an evaluation framework.
- Provide leadership and direction for emergent enterprise initiatives, such as pandemic, across the Alberta Public Service.
This role leads, mentors and guides a team of senior management, specialists and administrative staff to deliver upon key LR & OHS branch priorities and organizational objectives.
**Qualifications**
Your background includes extensive related senior management experience in human resources including duty to accommodate, return to work health programs, as well as procurement and vendor management. You bring demonstrated experience in working with senior executive management and unions, developing policies and frameworks, as well as program management and evaluation. You have an understanding of evidence-based government decision making. Your exceptional communication skills will support your success in this role. You have demonstrated collaboration and relationship skills and a reputation for engaging, developing, and mentoring high functioning teams as well as excellent leadership skills. A related degree is preferred.
**Salary**
$4,934.42 - $6,484.75 bi-weekly ($128,788 - $169,251.98 annually)
