**POSITION DETAILS**

The Resource Consultant plays an important role in providing education, mentoring and advocacy for clients in Licensed Early Learning Settings. The incumbent facilitates and promotes the inclusion of children aged 0-12 in partnership with caregivers, parents and the community.
- Supports assessments, direct observations and interactions
- Provides supports to clients, parents and Early Learning staff via recommendations, strategies and resources
- Facilitates case management and coordination of services
- Completes case notes, behaviour plans, reports, assessment, referrals
- Collaborates with other agencies and professionals
- Develops and implements workshops, presentations, in-services
- Provides guidance through mentoring opportunities
- Establish good rapport with children, families, and involved professionals
- Be informed of and adhere to Agency Policies and Procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned

**EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS**:

- Early Childhood Educator Diploma
- Graduate certificate as a Resource Consultant
- Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Alternative combinations of education and experience may be considered.

**EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE**:

- Previous work experience with children with special needs.
- Communicate effectively
- Demonstrate initiative and independent thinking
- Ability to collaborate with other team members
