We are expanding Kahkike Homes is a therapeutic home designed specifically for at-risk and high-risk youth in Canada. Based in Edmonton, AB, the home provides youth with a safe place to live while also facilitating opportunities to address their trauma through holistic healing practices, including land-based teachings, attending ceremonies, meeting with Elders and Knowledge Keepers and western therapy methods. All staff working in the home are trained in trauma
- informed practices and are skilled at and passionate about working with at risk and high-risk youth.

**Schedule**:
We are hiring for one full-time supervisor position. Must be able to work a variety of shifts that include days, evenings, weekends and overnights. There is also an on-call component to the position.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Creating team schedules and delegating tasks to team members
- Continuously monitoring employee performance and identifying areas of improvement
- Establishing company goals and objectives for employees, and ensuring their performance is in line with those
- Assessing employee performance and providing performance reviews to human resources and directors
- Ensuring team members meet deadlines for key projects and tasks
- Addressing any concerns or issues identified by team members
- Providing training and overseeing the orientation of new employees to familiarize them with agency policies and procedures
- Assisting with the care of young people in the home, including daily tasks, transporting and accompanying young people to appointments and meetings
- Attending case conferences and meetings as scheduled

**Qualifications and Professional Experience**:

- Supervisors are required to have a two-year diploma or a degree in social work or child and youth care from an accredited university or college, and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
- Persons with a diploma or degree from other human services disciplines will be considered for employment if they have relevant experience or specialized skills required.
- Valid class 5 driver’s license.
- A vehicle in good, safe, working condition to transport clients.
- Standard first aid, suicide prevention, and crisis intervention training are an asset, however, courses are offered after commencement.

**Salary**: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
