Canoil Canada, a leader in specialty niche greases, specialty lubricants and oils, is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in promoting and selling Canoil branded products, renowned for their exceptional response to specialized market needs in addition to other products under Canoil distributorship. Our well-equipped, flexible blending and packaging facility enables us to provide a fully integrated service, including product creation, testing, certifications, and packaging.
**Sales Responsibilities**
- **Client Relationship Management**: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction, repeat business, and long-term partnerships. Continuously engage with clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and proactively offer product and service enhancements.
- **New Business Development**: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand the company’s customer base within target markets. This includes conducting market research, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging professional contacts to generate leads for niche product offerings.
- **Strategic Account Planning**: Develop tailored sales plans and account strategies to meet or exceed sales targets. Regularly review progress, adjust tactics as needed, and communicate updates and achievements to internal stakeholders.
- **Product and Service Expertise**: Stay informed about Canoil’s unique products, formulations, and packaging services. Clearly articulate value propositions, highlight key differentiators, and confidently guide customers through the purchasing process.
- **Negotiation and Contract Management**: Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing, contract terms, and supply agreements. Ensure that all deals are structured to align with company profitability goals while delivering competitive value to customers.
- **Market Intelligence and Analysis**: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs to inform sales strategies. Provide actionable feedback to management and product teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- **Collaboration with Internal Teams**: Work closely with operations, quality, and R&D teams to ensure product availability, timely delivery, and consistent quality. Coordinate with marketing to develop targeted promotions, materials, and campaigns that support sales efforts.
- **Reporting and Forecasting**: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline status. Regularly provide sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to the management team for strategic decision-making.
- **Compliance and Ethics**: Adhere to all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Uphold Canoil’s reputation by conducting business with professionalism, integrity, and transparency at all times.
**Qualifications**
- Proven sales experience in the lubricants industry, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong ability to identify opportunities, negotiate, and close deals.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Preparedness to call on customers and generate new business consistently.
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience.
- Bachelor's degree; a higher education is a plus.
