**As a Human Resource, you will oversee all human resources and health and safety programs, ensuring they are aligned with goals of MetalCor Building Systems. You will act on issues related to human resources and communicate with the owners and managers to advise new ideas and solutions by balancing the employee needs with business objectives. This is a full-time position.**

**Specific responsibilities of a Human Resource include**:
**General**
- Analyze HR trends and consult with managers and owners providing HR guidance
- Write contracts for new hires in collaboration with manager
- Coordinate all on-boarding and orientation activities for new employees.
- Motivate existing talent by anticipating and responding to human resource issues as they arise
- Responsible for compensation and benefits administration
- Process payroll
- Develop and improve programs and policies to meet current and future business needs
- Health and safety: develop policies and procedures in accordance with legislation, conduct H/S meetings, post minutes on communication board and oversee the binder
- Report and comply with WSIB claims, follow up and return to work programs
- Broad knowledge of regulatory compliance and legal requirements including: OHSA, WSIB, ESA, Human Rights Code
- Provides advice and guidance in the proper handling of terminations, resignations, disciplinary warnings, probation periods and other sensitive employee matters
- Track and report employee performance and attendance with other managers, and creating performance improvement plans when necessary
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary
- Work closely with various teams on activities and programs, related to supporting and protecting the organizations core values and culture

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft word, Outlook, Excel
- Proficient in English oral and written skills
- High level of integrity & maturity; the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Full understanding of all HR functions and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels within the organization
- Demonstrable experience with HR metrics
- Ability to multi task, prioritize and problem solve in a busy and growing environment
- Effectively organize your work/activities to ensure duties are prioritized and completed on time
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organization
- Analytical and goal oriented, looking for constant improvement
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

**Experience**:

- 2 years experience in a Human Resources role
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business or Humanities related field

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $55,000.00 per year
