**Salary**: $40,000-$62,000 plus commission, uncapped.

**Company Background**
Arctic Response Canada Ltd. has been providing elite safety training to employees across numerous industries since opening our flagship Yellowknife office in 2001, and currently offers a catalogue of over 150 different field safety, industrial safety, first aid, and driver training programs. With an additional office in Edmonton and contract instructors across the country, our national reach has allowed our programs to become the national training standard for multiple federal government departments. At present, we employ over 40 full-time, part-time or casual employees.

Our clients include government employees (federal, provincial/territorial, municipal), Indigenous governments and organizations, private sector companies, and educational institutions. Adapting our instructional approach to meet the needs of individuals with diverse backgrounds, education, and experience while not compromising on our training standards has been a cornerstone of our company and an area in which we are committed to developing even further.
**Position Summary**
The Outside Sales Representative’s primary role is driving sales to new client groups throughout Alberta. They will be responsible for managing customer relationships, identifying and pursuing new leads, providing tailored solutions to client needs, tracking progress, and meet sales goals. This role is a combination of in-office and on-the-road travel.
**Responsibilities**

- Meet sales goals and objectives
- Traveling (independently or with colleagues) to locations throughout Canada
**Mandatory Requirements**
- 3 years experience in sales and business development
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong and courteous written and oral communication skills
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Integrity, professionalism, maturity, reliability, and accountability
- Responsible, self-motivated, able to self-direct and solve complex problems independently
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, students, and clients in a team environment
- Able to travel throughout Alberta and Canada
- Competent and familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Competent and familiar with CRM databases (Odoo preferred)
- High School Diploma
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Clean Criminal Record Check
**Preferred Requirements**
Arctic Response Canada Ltd. is willing to provide on-the-job training, though formal certification and/or substantial experience in the following will be considered assets:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or similar field
- Experience in sales or training in the following fields: industrial, field, heavy equipment operator, health and safety consulting, safety training
- Experience with Odoo CRM database
- Experience working with ESL and Indigenous organizations
- Familiarity and competence with the program development process (curriculum design, lesson planning, development of instructional materials, design of assessment and evaluation tools)
