**In this role, you will**:

- Develop, deploy, and maintain security, access control, and audio-video systems across the YMCA's GTA portfolio.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and necessary replacements or modifications as part of service agreements.
- Provide technical support and training to Facility Managers and the Property Management team.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure project completion and compliance, conducting commissioning inspections for seamless project transitions.
- Interpret technical documents and blueprints to support daily system operations.
- Stay updated with industry training to maintain current technical skills.
- Prepare and analyze reports on energy consumption metrics to identify efficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Asset Development, Financial Development teams, and external authorities to identify and manage incentive/grant opportunities.
- Install, maintain, and repair security and audio-video systems to meet YMCA standards for safety and comfort.
- Manage capital and operational projects using asset management tools, including budgeting, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Promote sustainability awareness and action among YMCA members, staff, volunteers, and the community.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**You bring**:

- Post-secondary education in Science or Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Post-secondary diploma or equivalent training in Energy or Environmental discipline.
- EMIT (Energy Manager in Training) Certificate or working towards it is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in building, maintaining, and expanding security systems (video, card access, and security alarms).
- Proficiency in access control software, Software House C-CURE 9000.
- Proficiency in camera security software, Exacqvision and Avigilon.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, and solve problems creatively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to drive and access to a vehicle.
- Excellent understanding of diversity, inclusion and equity including the ability to identify and address barriers, work effectively with diverse stakeholders, and integrate equity into program design.
