**IT Network Generalist**

Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will be responsible (along with the rest of the team members) for supporting both local and remote users (500+). You may be required to travel to our branches at times. A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Focus on risk mitigation and security
- A network-focused IT generalist
- Responsible for IT network infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge and experience with a multi-site network environment. Including: LAN, WAN, VPN, MPLS, SD-WAN, and WI-FI
- Evaluate and recommend necessary changes in security, performance tuning, infrastructure design, and monitoring requirements to meet business needs.
- Patching and general maintenance of IT network infrastructure
- Head responsibility to install, configure and maintain IT network on-premises and cloud infrastructure
- Assist in supporting physical and virtual IT infrastructure environments
- Analyze problems, evaluate technical issues, test, maintain, modify, integrate, monitor, and ensure security and access
- Planning and implementation of best and/or “right-sized” practices, security processes, and risk mitigation
- Create and maintain IT network infrastructure documentation
- Monitor, plan, and adjust firewall rules, switch configurations, and router settings to improve overall security posture
- Identify and recommend technology efficiencies for all aspects
- Actively involved in teams of cross-functional projects to assist and solve problems inclusive of different technologies straddling multiple work groups
- Coach and mentor team members to help with cross-training and knowledge gap closure
- Liaison with 3rd party vendors/partners to work through operational and/or project work
- Conduct complex technical evaluation, design review, and recommend proposed physical and logical designs
- Provide Tier 3 support for end users
- Assist with user identity and device management
- Provide operational support for the phone system and educate others on processes
- Provide vacation coverage for team members
- Assist with general IT support as required
- Additional duties as required

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**
- Preference for IT-related Post Secondary Education or real-world hands-on experience
- Experience with and understanding of Medium to Enterprise Networking environments
- Strong documentation skills
- Security infrastructure knowledge and understanding
- Familiarity with current technologies and various manufacturers, including cloud infrastructures
- Operational and transformational experience with LAN, WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, VLAN, WIFI, NextGen Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and cloud networking
- Experience with PRI phone systems
