Wasteco is a Canadian company committed to providing solid waste management and recycling solutions for industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) customers across southern Ontario.

An Administrative Assistant provides support to the managers and others in the Company by supplying information to callers, maintaining files, organizing and keeping schedules, generating standard reports and producing correspondence.

**Principle Responsibilities**:
Ø Greets visitors, ascertains nature of business and escorts to manager or other appropriate person.

Ø Answer telephones, provides information to callers or routes calls to appropriate person or department, and places outgoing calls as required.

Ø Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed supplies; places and expedites order for supplies; verifies receipt of supplies.

Ø Reads and routes incoming mail. Prepares and coordinates mail, faxes and express packages.

Ø Maintains department calendars for meetings.

Ø Scans and files daily scale tickets and driver route sheets.

Ø Verifies customer service agreements scans for completeness and that documentation has been saved to the correct location.

Ø Scans and files correspondence and other records.

Ø Compile and maintain daily plant operations reports.

Ø Relief person for the scale operator for vacation and unscheduled absence.

Ø Backup person for the accounting team for vacation relief and PTO.

Ø Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

**Specific Skills**:
Ø Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures.

Ø Establish work priorities and ensure that customer requests and deadlines are met

Ø Attention to detail

**Skills and Qualifications**:
Ø High school diploma

Ø 2+ years of proven administrative, customer service, and/or operations experience

Ø Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF editing program and Outlook

Ø Excellent organizational skills

Ø Strong interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written

Ø Reliability
