Vendor Compliance Specialist

**Location**:
The position works primarily on-site at Bass Pro Sops & Cabela's Canadian corporate office, located at 25 De Baets St, in Winnipeg, MB. We offer a hybrid work from home option on Wednesdays and Fridays. This is not a remote work opportunity.
**Summary**:
Reporting to the Vendor Compliance Supervisor, the Vendor Compliance Specialist partners with the vendor support team to improve product flow into the Distribution Centre, inform vendors of Company Distribution Centre policies and procedures and coordinate vendor meetings and boot camps. Additionally, this role provides support and collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure accuracy and compliance in accordance with our vendor manual and Company strategic initiatives.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide internal support and collaboration with Merchandising, Retail, Planning and Inventory, Accounting, Distribution, Logistics, EDI, International and Supply Chain teams to ensure vendor compliance in accordance with the Vendor Guide and Company Strategic Vendor Relationship Initiatives, including, but not limited to: Ship Complete, Ship on Time, Floor Ready programs, Cross Dock, Allocation, Drop Ship and Invoice Compliance.
- Provide internal support to 3PL provider on vendor relations, merchandising and inventory control.
- Research and proactively identify areas of cost saving improvements in retail preparation and consistency in reporting at all Retail and Distribution Centre locations.
- Provide support in preparing vendor scorecards. Manage and prepare in-house and site vendor meetings and conference calls to review the Vendor Compliance report card and identify key opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate issues related to receiving.
- Use the Supply Chain Resolution Database to track issues and provide timely resolution.
**Qualifications**:
- 2 to 4 years’ experience in a Distribution Centre environment is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in business administration or an equivalent combination of related education and experience is preferred.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
- Excellent organizational and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and SAP.
- Knowledge of Electronic Data Interface (EDI) would be an asset.
