Consequently, we are looking for an **Accounting/Administrative Assistant** (Contract Position 1 Year) with an emphasis on supporting the finance team with various projects including A/P and A/R, providing support to corporate leadership handling various administrative tasks, and who will serve as “The Director of First Impressions” by handling incoming calls and greeting customers. This position resides in Windsor, Ontario and reports directly to the Payroll Manager. If you enjoy accounting functions and multitasking, this role could be ideal for you.

**Accounting Duties**:

- Perform A/R month end closing duties (aging reports, reconciliation for deposits)
- Reconcile all cheques and EFTs for Accounts Payable
- Maintain Customer profiles in company databases
- Removing holds from Credit Card accounts, opening new CC accounts
- adding ship to’s, checking tax rates (US), saving and reviewing all tax exemption forms
- Prepare files for current month collection calls
- Prepare Ad Hoc Reports

**Administrative Duties**:

- Supporting Corporate Leaders with administrative tasks
- Planning & organizing events, catering, office parties
- Reception, incoming and outgoing mail, phones

**Qualifications include**:

- 1-2 years previous accounting experience preferred
- Accounting College diploma preferred or equivalent
- 1-2 years in an office environment preferred
- Excellent Interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task multiple projects with accuracy
- Strong administrative skills
- Initiative/Passion
- Accountable
