Front Desk Receptionist

Weekend Reception - 8:30am-4:30pm / 4:30pm-9pm alternating weekends
**Roles/Duties**
- Greet prospective residents and visitors in a professional manner.
- Require all visitors and vendors to sign in and out when they enter and leave building.
- Follow emergency protocols and procedures in a calm and assertive manner.
- Answer multi-line telephone including taking and relaying messages as needed.(Including taking maintenance/ housekeeping calls and fill out work orders appropriately/accurately).
- Perform general typing and other administrative tasks for the staff.
- Act as administrative support to managers as requested.
- Handle and sort incoming/ outgoing mail on a daily basis.
- Exhibit and maintain professional work habits, appropriate punctuality, appropriate grooming, appropriate dress, a positive attitude and demeanor in interactions with residents, co-workers and the community-at-large.
- Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.
- Attend staff meetings and training as required.
- Perform general office tasks as required.
- Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

**Skills/Proficiencies**
- Computer knowledgeable, Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Professional Telephone Etiquette
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Detail Oriented
- Takes initiative
- Requires ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds
- Excellent ability to speak and write in English
- Preferred ability to communicate in Italian with clientele
- Report to Director of Operations.
**ability to cover additional shifts during peak periods or absences
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From $16.76 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- On call
Ability to commute/relocate:
- North York, ON M6L 3C1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
**Language**:
- English (preferred)
