Marketing Assistant, Employability Skills for

**SUMMARY**:The Marketing Assistant will assist in all aspects of outreach activities for the Employability Skills for Youth program.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assist the ES4Y staff with outreach/marketing, recruitment and screening of applicants
- Utilize social media platforms to market the program and promote upcoming sessions
- Follow up with previous program participants to obtain updates on employment status and update database
- Provide individual coaching/counseling regarding action planning, community resources, and volunteer coordination
- Assist the program staff by contacting employers/organizations to develop placement opportunities and monitoring youth at their placements as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as tracking, submitting attendance, communication with clients as well as community organizations and employers
- Assist Manager, Youth Service Programs in contacting participants after each cohort ends to offer further individual assistance and to determine participants’ achievements in relation to their plans
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with client recruitment, event management and volunteer placements
- Other Administrative duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
**Be between ages 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- CSJ pre-requisite**
- College or University Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
** required**
- Be Canadian Citizens, permanent residents, or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and;
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
- 1 - 2 years’ experience working in an office environment

- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently and work with mínimal supervision
- Possess solid administrative skills and have a demonstrated ability in the use of MS office products, web browsers and online research tools and social media tools
- Experience working in a customer service or direct delivery of services to the public in a marketing outreach, public relations or related role
- Knowledge of marketing principals with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of job search strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Enjoy a wide variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player, with the ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Experience working with diverse cultural groups
