The Skilled Trades Connection (STC) project takes a collaborative approach offering an integrated solution that provides: an efficient & seamless pathway to skills development and employment for BIPOC youth to in-demand careers in the construction trades; and a
solution to employers in support of their labour market and talent needs. The project’s target population is youth aged 18-29 from BIPOC communities in the GTA.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Schedules meetings, distributes agendas, hosts online meetings, and takes minutes
- Assists in organizing, gathering input, and editing report submissions - annual reports, proposals, narratives
- Conducts polls and organizes/creates online surveys
- Assists with supplies ordering, monitors project expenses and updates cash flow forecasts
- Produces tables, charts, graphs and dashboards for reports and presentations
- Creates PowerPoint presentations including
- Provide assistance/backup as needed to the STC Coach, including visiting and/or calling work placements and engaging in problem solving as needed
- Collect and analyze stats and program evaluation data, and draft monthly/quarterly reports for review by the Lead Facilitator / Coach Coordinator
- Conduct follow up activities to ensure the success of participants, and outcomes for the project
- Other project duties as assigned
- Provide assistance as needed to prepare the monthly program cash flows
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in business, social services or related area
- A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting programs preferably in a non-profit organization
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with SharePoint an asset.
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using databases and portals an asset
- Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills,
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability work well independently as well
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Criminal record check
- Familiar with budgets
