TBTB promotes the integration of post-secondary education sector data into daily business operations and provides sector-wide leadership for IM/IT planning and business solutions.

TBTB is accountable for the design, implementation, and continual upgrading of PSFS' information privacy and security framework, which includes taking a leadership role in determining applicable information privacy and security standards and definitions, categorization of the processed information, and secure methods of information transmission. TBTB provides leadership and direction for a diverse range of major post-secondary education information technology, privacy and security advisory services to senior officials within and, to a lesser degree, outside of government.

Under the guidance of a Ministry Privacy Officer, the Privacy Analyst assesses privacy impacts of new projects or initiatives to ensure consistency with existing legislation and government policy. The position supports the implementation and evaluation of a privacy management program for PSFS in accordance with BC government’s Privacy Management and Accountability Policy (PMAP). The position also provides privacy-oriented support to external entities that PSFS supports.

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree in Public or Business Administration, Social sciences, Law, or other relevant study of area. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum 1 year experience researching policy issues and conducting policy analysis.
- Minimum 1 year experience managing projects and/or project components.

Preference may be given to applicants who have:

- Certification as a privacy professional (e.g. IAPP, CAPPA), or willingness to obtain within one year.
- Experience providing secretariat support to committees or working groups.
- Experience with modern information security practices.

**About this Position**:
There is currently one (1) regular full time position available.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
