**We have an immediate opening for a full time, permanent, Purchasing Co-Ordinator**

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Purchasing Co-Ordinator will provide purchasing services for Victoria Park Community Homes in all areas of Operations, with specific attention to fulfillment of maintenance requirements for properties owned and managed.

**Salary Range**:$47,619 - $59,524

**What will you be doing?**
- Issue purchase orders to contractors for work approved by Property Managers, ensuring accuracy of account numbers and property codes.
- Issue purchase orders for supplies required to replenish stock, ensuring accuracy of account numbers and property codes.
- Issue purchase orders for supplies required to fulfill work approved by Property Managers.
- Ensure adherence to existing tendering and purchasing procedures and policies.
- Update all purchase order changes as approved by Property Manager, where modifications to the original order are required.
- Works with RPS department to prepare invoices to tenants relating to back charges.
- Communicates with contractor re invoicing problems.
- Maintain tracking system to confirm orders are in accordance with planned schedule of completion.
- Confirm work/supply completion with Property Managers, and match invoices to orders issued.
- Confirm accuracy of all invoices and prepare for cheque issue.
- Maintain and effect the operational rotation of multiple contractor work.
- Works with PMs on Open PO commitments to ensure they are updated and closed when work is complete.
- Assist with the finance reconciliations of capital expenditures.
- Maintains SharePoint library of invoices and Purchase Orders for VPCON
- Prepare reports regarding purchasing as required by Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
- Performs back-up duties for the Accounts Payable Administrator when required.
- Ensuring overall supply room stock is adequately filled, including copier toner.

**What will you need?**
- Must possess a Community College diploma or alternatively a minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing and/or work order systems.
- Must possess a valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License.

**Special Requirements and Working Conditions**
- Regular hours of employment are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- The position is based at the corporate head office located at 155 Queen Street North, Hamilton, Ontario.
- Parking will be provided on-site.
- Considerable time may be spent in front of a computer.
- Must be bondable and prepared to execute the Bondability Affidavit
