The Human Resources Department has an opening for a permanent, full-time Human Resources Advisor. If you are curious by nature with a solution-oriented approach to labour relations, and interest to proactively build relationships in a municipal government multi-unionized setting, this is a great opportunity for you.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this position is responsible for:

- Providing consultation and advice to managers and staff on a wide range of human resource programs, processes, initiatives and labour relations matters;
- Ensuring that practices are consistent and comply with legislation, collective agreements, administrative regulations, policies and procedures;
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, managers, bargaining agents, and external contacts, and interacting in a manner that builds trust, credibility, and rapport;
- Coordinating, guiding, and participating in the recruitment and selection process; and,
- Participating in other duties and special projects as assigned.
