Located in the City of Lindsay, Bloom Retirement Community is looking for a Culinary Manager Chef - to fill a permanent full-time day (40h) position. All services in the organization are designed to meet the needs and well-being of our residents. Create and play with flavours, textures and presentations to make a positive impact in our resident’s life

**Specifically, your daily life with us will look like**:

- Take charge of culinary department, develop varied, colorful and tasty menus
- Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure great teamwork
- Maintain inventory of food, utensils and equipment
- Develop and maintain a food cost budget
- Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen
- Use products and equipment according to the safety, quality, hygiene and cleanliness rules and standards in effect
- Cleaning of the kitchen equipment
- Visual aspect of meals
- Providing direction to the staff regarding prep work, plating of food and the orientation of new employees
- Perform other related duties as assigned

**Required qualifications**:

- Grade 12 minimum education required
- Red Seal designation or graduate of a recognized college food preparation program
- Strong computer skills
- A professional studies diploma in institutional cuisine or equivalent
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a large restoration's volume
- Strong written and spoken English
