**What you will do**

You will lead a fully mobile and virtual EarlyON team in providing welcoming and inclusive environments where all children and families have access to high-quality programs and services influencing positive child, family and community experiences and outcomes across Waterloo Region.

You will ensure EarlyON Child and Family Centres provide environments that _engage parents and caring adults _in play and learning alongside of their children and other families. Parents and caring adults will be engaged in conversations and information sharing about child development, parenting, nutrition, play and inquiry based learning, and other topics that support them in their role as their children’s first teacher.

You will support _Early Learning and Development _by ensuring the delivery of high-quality experiences that build responsive adult-child relationships and encourage children’s exploration, play and inquiry, supported by _How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years._

You will lead a team that is responsive to questions or concerns about child development, uses validated tools and resources, and links to specialized services; m_aking connections for families _during and beyond the early years.

You will provide effective supervision, support and development and coaching opportunities, which will increase the knowledge, skills and confidence of your teams.

You will manage administrative responsibilities including staff and volunteer records, financial accountabilities and data collection requirements.

You will lead the work related to intentional mental health funding for Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC). You will create tangible resources for Early Childhood Educators. The resources that you create will support ELCC Educators in the Early Learning and Child Care sector by providing research-based resources that for families and will provide guidance to ELCC Educators in referral mapping of mental health and early identification services to support families in Waterloo Region.

**What you will bring**

Ideally, you are a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) with a minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a child and family setting. You have great knowledge and expertise in child development and play and inquiry-based learning. You have experience leading a team across multiple locations in creating environments that nurture relationships for children, parents and caregivers based on the latest evidence and research.

You have a demonstrated knowledge of _How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years _and experience supervising a team in delivering high-quality early years programs. Relationship building, communication, coaching and development, and problem solving are key competencies you rely on in your day to day work.

You have strong knowledge of the mental health and early identification resources in Waterloo Region. You view parents and caring adults as the expert of their own child and strive to provide families with the resources and information that they are looking for, in a way that works for them. You have a passion for working alongside of families with young children in both co-regulation and self-regulation.
