**Department Overview**

The independent Operational Risk Management (ORM) team works in partnership with the business units and corporate groups of TD Bank Group to further the understanding and management of operational risk across the enterprise.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, ORM ETech Governance & Reporting Change Oversight, this role will work cross-functionally with the 1st line and other risk groups and will have a primary focus on challenging the technology risk management practices in TD's projects and agile-based delivery.

Specifically, the role will primarily be responsible for ORM ETech challenge activities of technology risk identification, assessment, reporting and monitoring in:

- Significant projects lead by TD Technology groups, or business-lead projects with significant technology components
- Scaled Agile delivery under the NEW (Next Evolution of Work) model, which replaces the traditional project governance methodology

The challenge of change initiatives typically includes review of change risk assessments, review of ongoing risk and remediation activities, and review of readiness and go-live assessments for major new releases.
- The role may also include other activities, including:

- Supporting delivery of 2nd line challenge activities required to execute on the ORM Framework, including but not limited to:

- Technology risks and controls identification for core technology process - Process Risk and Control Self-Assessments (pRCSA) across all technology groups
- Review and challenge IT policies and standards
- Management's quality testing on key controls identified from the pRCSA, and remediation plan on any identified gap
- Review and challenge 1st Line Technology and Cyber Risk Reporting including mitigation actions
- Review and Challenge of KRI inventory
- Supporting Annual Updates to the Enterprise Technology and Cyber Risk Appetite measures
- Special initiatives on emerging risk or regulatory/industry requirements
- Participation in Risk Forums
- Interfacing with ORM ETech executives and senior management, preparing materials for socialization and providing guidance and advice related to change oversight activities and for facilitating awareness and mitigation of potential areas of risk
- Developing, implementing, and operationalizing the Stakeholder Engagement Model related to Technology Risk Governance
- Supporting responses to various regulatory requests and audits

**Job Requirements**
- Demonstrated ability to own and lead, providing leadership and direction by setting context, defining requirements and accountabilities, tasks and assignments across stakeholder's risk assessments and related challenge activities
- Effective change management, through impact and influence skills
- Strong collaboration and communications (oral and written) skills, and demonstrated ability to digest complex information and summarize in a clear, concise fashion (for executive-level consumption) with excellent documentation and presentation creation ability
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relations with cross-functional teams
- Possess a high degree of judgment and decision-making skills and integrity to process and handle confidential details with discretion
- In-depth knowledge of technology and cyber risk and related risk management frameworks, processes, and tools
- Keep abreast of emerging risks and technologies
- Good understanding of regulatory and control requirements such as FFIEC, ISO 2700x, and NIST standards
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite
- Energetic, enthusiastic, pro-active self-starter - willing to “roll up the sleeves” to deliver results in the short-term while building for the long-term; agile, adaptable, 'can-do' attitude, high degree of responsiveness and initiative
- Financial industry experience preferred
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment

**Education & Accreditation**
- Seven or more years of relevant experience
- Undergraduate degree in a related discipline
- Experience in risk management in project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) is an asset
- Accreditation such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, and/or similar is an asset
