**About us**:
Fitzgerald Motors Inc. has been operating in Kitchener since 1992 and is looking for a youth placement (18-30 years of age) to fill our current role of Social Media Manager. Students/recent graduate are welcome to apply.

The Social Media Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing our social media strategy. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing social media channels, analyzing performance metrics, and staying up-to-date with industry trends. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about digital marketing and has a creative mindset.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to align with business goals.
- Create, curate, and schedule engaging content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and more.
- Create captivating video content, including shooting, editing, and posting videos that showcase our inventory, special promotions, and customer testimonials.
- Design eye-catching posters and advertisement content to be used in social media campaigns and promotions.
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries on our social media channels to engage with customers and build relationships.
- Utilize social media advertising and paid promotion to reach a wider audience and generate leads.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, social media best practices, and the latest automotive news.
- Analyze and report on the performance of social media campaigns using analytics tools and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Manage and grow our online community by organizing and promoting contests, events, and interactive content.
- Monitor and manage online reviews and ratings to maintain a positive online reputation.
- Continuously seek opportunities to expand our dealership's reach and influence on social media platforms.

**Qualifications**:

- The Youth participant must be between 18-30 years old
- The Youth participant must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident or a person to whom refugee status has been granted.
- Proven experience in social media management for businesses, with a focus on the automotive industry being a strong asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of various social media platforms and their best practices.
- Proficiency in creating and editing videos for social media, using tools and software.
- Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging, visually appealing content, including posters and advertisements.
- Familiarity with paid social media advertising.
- Analytical skills to assess campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Enthusiasm for the automotive industry and a genuine passion for cars.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
- Proven experience in managing social media platforms for businesses or brands
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and strategies
- Proficiency in using social media management tools like Hootsuite or Buffer
- Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Knowledge of e-commerce and online advertising
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kitchener, ON N2G 2W2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
