**Medical Administration Contract Manager**

**What you’ll do**
- Support the Director, medical/operations leadership and individual physicians by serving as internal consultant for information, interpretation, navigation, troubleshooting, and decision-making support related to PHSA and Ministry policies, and the PHSA Corporate Services (Physician Compensation, Finance, Business Planning, Human Resources) and BCMHSUS policies, programs and processes that together form the framework for physician administration.
- Respond to requests from the Director, executive leadership and medical/operations leadership for expertise with complex analysis related to physician compensation arrangements, service and sessional contract management, and physician contract negotiation support by preparing briefing materials, issue papers, presentations and/or disseminating information appropriately to meet ongoing decision-making needs.
- Manage business processes related to physician onboarding, orientation, privileges, annual reviews, professional allowances, and payments. Oversee management of documentation, funding and payment arrangements for BCMHSUS Clinical Fellows.
- Ensure consistency with PHSA Physician Compensation Office (PCO) contracting policies, BCMHSUS and PHSA policies, and compliance with internal accountability and audit requirements. Gather and confirm relevant contract details and service deliverables for physician clinical services and administrative services contracts, salary agreements and special education research program contracts/agreements. Prepare payment requisition and exception documentation for PCO review and approval.
- Manage business processes for physician time tracking and service reporting data compilation, analysis and summary reporting. Monitor, assess, streamline and standardize tracking and reporting practices across BCMHSUS sites and multiple physician groups.

**What you bring**

**Qualifications**:

- A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in health, business, public administration or related field.
- Five (5) years’ recent related health care experience, preferably in a large organization or institution involving human resource and/or financial management or related knowledge, and experience/knowledge of the complexities of physician relations.

Skills & Knowledge
- Superior analytical skills including the ability to comprehend, analyze and resolve complex issues and present information in concise meaningful ways.
- Highly developed business writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to document work appropriately.
- Ability to facilitate and encourage cooperation between diverse operational groups and skill sets, and to work collaboratively to design and implement solutions.
- Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and Reclaiming Power and Place Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls calls for justice, and how they intersect across the health care system.
- Supports team members on their learning journey, ensuring education strategy for team/department to implement Indigenous Cultural Safety at a practical level.
- Works collaboratively with appropriate Indigenous teams/departments to ensure ICS lens applied holistically.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
