Become a Chef at Sanjo Sushi

Do you have experience in the kitchen and a passion for cooking? We’re looking for skilled and organized chefs/cooks who can handle the pressure and maintain high hygiene standards. You will be working from Thursday - Sunday

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely food service
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Provide guidance and training to junior sushi chefs, as required

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or food industry, preferably in a sushi or Japanese cuisine setting
- Proficient in various sushi techniques, including rolling, cutting, and presentation
- Excellent knife skills and ability to handle raw fish safely
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in food quality
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

**Qualifications**
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service
- Demonstrated experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- Familiarity with meat-cutting techniques
- Prior experience in the food industry is a must

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 50 per week
